However, in reality there really is no one that is born to be a sales people. There are people who wont adapt well to working in sales but then there are those who will take to it like a duck to water. If you get enough training and good experience anyone could build a successful career in sales. Working in sales can have many different advantages and disadvantages. A career in sales can be extremely exciting and fun. You get to meet a range of different people, make a lot of new friends and enjoy making a good income. As your career develops within the industry, so will your skills. Once you develop strong skills you can adopt them across any market. Yes you will have to learn new product knowledge etc but youll have all the basics which will make your more employable. Sales jobs are always in demand and many companies are constantly looking out for new talent. There is plenty of room are career progression and you may be able to move up the ladder quicker than within any other industry. There is always a demand for good sales people which extremely difficult to fill. Many companies have a talent management strategy to help those with strong skills to develop. Within the sales industry, its common practice for employees to be paid with a commission based salary. So in other works sales people technically write their own pay checks. The more you put into your job the more you get out. The amount you end up with in you pay check will completely depend on the individual. The amount you can make will have absolutely no limit, after all could you image your manager telling you to stop doing your job? I dont think so. Beginning a career in sales couldnt be easier. Unlike other jobs candidates, dont have to have spent time at university getting a degree or pay large sums of money carrying out training costs. The only investment that you will have to make will be time and perseverance to learn all the skill sets needed to become a confident sales person. This small investment will result in a huge return. Jobs in sales are constantly changing. Everything is becoming more digitalised and there are always new functions and methods to learn. A career in selling is challenging and every day will hold something new. If you enjoy selling then a career in sales is definitely right for you.
